Part One: Short Assignment
Do some on-line research about one of the social theorists (your choice) covered in the course textbook or in the lecture. Look for something interesting (in your judgement) about this theorist that wasn’t mentioned in the lecture or the textbook. Write a short (~150 word) explanation of what you found about the theorist that was interesting to you.

Part 2:
Choose one major trend from art exhibition history during the period from the 1960’s-1990’s, as explored in the Introduction to the Altschuler text. Trends could include for example the birth of the curator or the global turn in contemporary art that emerged during the 1980’s. Write two paragraphs discussing the innovations that were introduced through this trend you’ve chosen within the context of exhibition history. (Note: a paragraph is at least 4 sentences).
