I’m working on a writing report and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

write a bio on a disability rights activist in 300-400 words.

Identify a disability rights activist you are interested in. You can select an activist who is alive today or an activist no longer alive today. You may only select a person who is/was an activist in the United States.

Provide a bio on the activist you selected. Information you should include is the following:

  • The person’s name, date and place of birth, with the date and place of death as may be applicable. Make sure you use the correct pronouns for the person.
  • The person’s major accomplishments in life and any other interesting facts about them. These can for example include but are not limited to educational background, professional achievements, and awards.

A brief description of the disability issues they are/were fighting for.

  • A brief description of how they contribute(d) to the disability rights movement.
  • A brief account of the significance of the activist in the (disability) community.
  • A short explanation of why you are interested in this disability activist and their work.
