I’m studying for my Health & Medical class and don’t understand how to answer this. Can you help me study?
In this course we learned about strategies that are used in healthcare data analytics that could help healthcare organizations in populating data repositories. This strategies include aggregating data from different sources and identifying patterns that could be useful in the proper decision-making process. These methods are especially relevant in healthcare settings (population health, public health, …) as massive amounts of data are stored due to regulatory guidelines and medical history storage requirements.
COVID-19 pandemic has impacted many facets of the human life. Gathering, storing, organizing, and processing health data has been proven to be effective in the formation of appropriate solutions via proper resource allocation.
Use the two files attached to this activity to aggregate and produce meaningful outcomes by following the steps below.
- Sort both files by sorting the Date field (if it is not sorted)
- Aggregate the files by matching the date field from each file
- Calculate the percentage of the infected population who were hospitalized in each day in a separate column titled “Hospitalized/Infected”
- Check the hospitalization in the month of April 2020 and report of your observation about the relationship between hospitalization and the number of positive test results in that month.
