(1) Instructions for Video Presentation on 4B & 4C
What you will submit to this Discussion Board is a video presentation of both exercises:
Step 1: Read and follow the instructions on 4B and 4C activity worksheets. You also need to read Chapter 4 first to better understand what are some criteria for creating “good, strong, reasonable” headings for news articles.
Step 3: Create new headings for the news article and list out the main points for each section using the 4C activity worksheet (also on “Instagram is the Home of Pretty Pictures” and ignore the text assigned on Top Hat).
You can either download the PDFs from Top Hat or type them out following the same format.
For 4C, you should REGROUP or BREAK UP some of the headings and paragraphs and come up with your own sections and headings. In the presentation, please focus on the rationale (for your re-organization of the original news article). For instance, if you were a reporter to write on the same topic, how would you present your finding differently?
Step 4: Once you complete the 4B and 4C worksheets, record a video presenting these two activities.
For 4B, briefly summarize each section and present your own new summary.
For 4C, present the new headings and explain your rationale (i.e. reasons and logic) for breaking up the text and for using the headings upon which you have decided. Your video should be 3-5 minutes long (but 5 minutes will the be time limit).
