Each week interesting talks and events are held across the city and suburbs, at universities, town halls, libraries and other venues. It could be an author, an activist, a panel of interesting people discussing a single topic or a political campaign launch. Such events can be reported as newsworthy in themselves, and they can also provide the starting point for journalists to pursue other stories, finding people to interview, doing further research, adding statistics, and so on. This news reporting package requires you to choose two events to demonstrate your understanding of news processes and various media writing skills
