For our expository piece, we’re looking to analyze media coverage to spot where the bias may be. Go through some of the following news outlets and pull a news broadcast that illustrates how the media infuses opinion and subjective thinking into the report. In a google document, analyze how your selected news broadcast injects opinions in a way that manipulates the audience. This analysis would be about one page long and should include a citation of your source according to MLA format.

You will investigate an idea, evaluate evidence, expound on the idea, and set forth an argument concerning that idea in a clear and concise manner. Your one page analysis should be an analysis of your chosen broadcast, where the facts are, where the bias is found, whether you spot a level of propaganda or manipulation, and how the journalist can change the wording or presentation in order to make the piece more journalistic and credible.
