UCF Pepsico Frito Lay Water Production Lines Improvement Project Presentation

This is about PepsiCo-Frito-Lay Water production lines. Moreover, the details in the powerpoint and below:

The Introduction and Case Statement Section should state the purpose of the project and should spell out the reason or need for taking on the process improvement (or design) project to top management. In other words, this section ties the improvement opportunity to the client’s business objectives and also helps to sell or justify the need for this specific improvement to top management.

Additionally, this section should describe how the problem impacts the customer or stakeholders. It also details the period the client has been experiencing the problem or need and provides an overview of why it is vital to the company to proceed with this specific improvement opportunity.

The team should then give sufficient background of the system and/or process to be studied, noting essential and relevant features. This section should “set the scene of the story” by providing all the relevant background information leading into the Problem Statement.

The following should be clearly described:

  • Details of the system/process environment or product use environment (e.g., where the system/process is located, what is the daily/weekly/monthly service/production rate, etc.)
  • A description of how the system operates or the process flow logic. This would be best served through the use of diagrams and figures – remember, this is a proposal.

Crucial part: The case should also emphasize the penalties/risks the organization (the Client) will have to bear by not undertaking the project – risk assessment at this level (this is not the risk of your project). Similarly, it should also drive home (the Client’s organization) the gains that will be accrued by implementing the project
