Purpose

This project is designed to apply what you have learned through the text book readings, discussion board posts, and instructor feedback so far in this course. You will be writing a report which will meet the following outcomes:

Course Learning Outcomes (CLO):

CLO 1 – Describe Adult and Juvenile Corrections models.

CLO 2 – Explain the basic differences between Parole and Probation.

CLO -5 Describe the duties and challenges facing Parole and Probation Officers.

Upon completion of this report, students will have had the opportunity to:

  • Describe and explain the differences and similarities between adult and juvenile supervision
  • Describe and explain the differences and similarities between parole, post-prison and probation
  • Explain the general roles, duties and challenges parole and probation officers are faced with

Instructions and Requirements

In addition to your text book, discussion board posts, and instructor feedback, you may also refer to the chapter PowerPoints, Read assignments and at least three total resources.

This report needs to be broken down into three parts, which are clearly labeled with PART I, PART II, and PART III.

  • PART I – explain the general roles, duties, and challenges parole and probation officers are faced with.
  • PART II – describe and explain the differences and similarities between adult and juvenile supervision.
  • PART III – describe and explain the differences and similarities between parole, post-prison, and probation.

The body of the report shall be 3-5 pages, not including references.

You do not need to include an abstract with your report.

This paper needs to be written using APA formatting including 12 point Times New Roman font with 1 inch margins. You can utilize the UCC Library at https://guides.ucclibrary.com/apa (Links to an external site.) for specifics on APA formatting.
