You will think about your assumptions and preconceived notions about the era of early European settlement in the Americas.
To get started, make sure you have finished the Module readings, and review the Thanksgiving story in the Chapter 3 Introduction section of the text.
Next, in a new Word document, write an essay of approximately 500-600 words in which you do the following:
- Discuss your preconceived notions about early settlement. In other words, what were your assumptions about this era before you started this course?
- Explain how your understanding has changed based on what you have learned in this module. What was correct or incorrect? How does your new perspective change your perspective on Thanksgiving? If your perspective is relatively unchanged, explain why.
