Read the case that is uploaded!

These should not be summaries of case/company facts or speaker content. Rather, students should assume the grader is familiar with the case/article and guest background. The best write-ups will compellingly analyze key issues in the cases/readings or raised by the outside speaker and discuss learnings on the issues associated with creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. Students should assess/critique company performance and provide their well-supported recommendations on case decision points. Among the topics students may consider writing about in their papers:

  • In cases, what specific elements of the organization might you want to commend or critique? IF there are case dilemmas about future managerial actions, what are your recommendations?
  • How would you compare situations, viewpoints, etc. from this case or speaker with situations from other weeks? How do course frameworks or other lessons learned in this class apply to this situation?
  • Do you see parallels with creativity innovation issues faced by other well-known companies? How could approaches discussed in the course help organizations you are familiar with?
  • How do the lessons resonate with your career experience? How might they impact your future career?
