I need to 300 word response to there two answers

  • First, select an instructional technology that has been used in education that is at least 20 years old.Scantron SystemExplain how your selected instructional technology was first used in education. Be sure to provide an example. The Scantron System was introduced to schools in 1972. The Scantron System allowed teachers to grade tests faster by putting the cards students fill in through the machine (Tyre, 2003). The teacher would hand their student a card with letters on it and then give them a multiple-choice test. The students would then fill in the bubbles on the card to the corresponding test. The students would then hand the test and card to the teacher. The teacher would then take the cards to the Scantron and run them through, where it would mark the wrong answers.Explain how your selected instructional technology is now used in education. Is it used differently? The same? Be sure to provide an example of the instructional technology’s current use. The Scantron System is still used to grade bubble tests, but we can grade them faster than they did when they first came out. “At the heart of the initiative is a suite of five distinctive, state-of-the-art computer-based solutions. Curriculum Designer™, Skills Connection™, Classroom Wizard™, ParSystem™, and Performance Series™ work together or in various combinations to align curricula with state standards, evaluate skills, measure academic gains, aggregate data and report results with a minimum of time and effort” (Tyre, 2003, par.2). So, Scantron has come to offer more services to help the education system ensure they are not leaving children because of the No Child Left Behind Act. So, they are still around but evolving to stay up to date with the needs of the education system.Explain how instructional design theory has shaped the application of your instructional technology in education. The instructional design theory has shaped the application of the Scantron System and their company because they continue to have their equipment and technology evolve as the educational needs change for the children and teachers. Instructional design can come in different forms, such as digital or physical, so they ensure their system stays evolving to keep up with the new innovative ways of digital media.ReferencesTyre, T. (2003). Scantron delivers hard data the easy way. T H E Journal, 30(10), 15.
  • Week 4 Discussion 1First, select an instructional technology that has been used in education that is at least 20 years old.Over Head Projector Explain how your selected instructional technology was first used in education. Be sure to provide an example. The Overhead Projector was introduced by Roger Appeldorn in the early 1960s. This technology tool made it easier for teachers and instructors to provide additional visual assistance to students to help reteach learning concepts. During this time, teachers would place a clear felt pieces of paper on the projector and the image would reflect on the wall making it easier for the students to see the problem that the teacher was working on. This technology tool afforded students the opportunity to visually see what their teacher was doing up close, which made teaching and learning beneficial. The Overhead Projector is one of the important visual aid in the modern classroom, when lecturing to large crowds, ( Ramya, 2019). Many instructional teaching strategies were supported using the Overhead Projectors such as the I Do, You Do, We Do Method. Teacher would first work the problem on the projector, next the students would work a similar problem on their on , and lastly the students and the teacher would work the same learning concepts in front of the class on the projector. Explain how your selected instructional technology is now used in education. Is it used differently? The same? Be sure to provide an example of the instructional technology’s current use. Overhead Projector are currently being used in many educational institutions. Most commonly, they are being used in the higher education setting to support research presentations and classroom lectures. Many professors and instructors use the over head projectors, which are now attached to the ceiling to convey different learning concepts, as well as providing additional research. Many students use the over head projects to defend their thesis or dissertation via presentation in front of the fellow course mates and instructors. Explain how instructional design theory has shaped the application of your instructional technology in education. The Instructional Design Theory has shaped the application of Over Head Projectors in many ways. Learning is all about presenting new learning concepts, comprehension, (understanding what is being presented), analyzing, (breaking down what is being asked of the students to complete), Synthesizing (putting it all together),and lastly evaluating, (reviewing what you have done). Overhead projectors have made implementing this Instructional Design Theory possible in many classroom. Under Bloom’s Taxonomy, the Over head projectors provide a way a providing additional instructions that will hit every aspect of the learning process for students. As students and instructors become more familiar with implementing these technology tools in the classroom, it will more than prepare students for success in post secondary education settings to solve real-word problems (Marley, 2014)ReferencesMarley, K.
