I think a good mission statement is short and to the point. It must include your overall goal as an organization and speak to some of the ways you intend on arriving at that/those goals. For example, I think that integrity, hard work, and delivering a quality product/service are important to include; and then saying how those traits will make a difference from what your organization does. ,
I believe employees or prospective hires have their right to privacy. However, when social media is involved, there develops a grey area. Employees are essentially the face of a company, especially those involved in customer service. So what they publicly post on social media, then reflects on the company, good or bad. The employee has the freedom of speech, but a company also has the right to protect their assets and reputation. An employee could use their social media however they choose, but there are also privacy settings that could be put in place to protect themselves and the company they work for. If a person is posting something that could get them fired or not hired for a job, then perhaps they shouldn’t be posting that in the first place. This, again, is a grey area, as every situation is different.
