A company manufactures kitchen chairs. Because of random variations in production, the seat height X must be regarded as a random variable. Many years of experience allow the assumption that the seat height is normally distributed.
Specify yourself what the seat height of the chairs should be on average.
In the last production runs, one has the impression that the prescribed seat height is not adhered to. To check the assumption, a statistical test is to be carried out. A significance level of 0.05 is set.
A simple random sample of 16 chairs was drawn. A mean of 43 cm and a standard deviation of 4 cm were calculated from this sample.
Carry out the test. Give the complete steps of the procedure
