Procedure for the Annotated bibliography
- Choose a topic and get it approved by the professor
- Research the topic.
- Put together a list of 8 titles, either books of articles (not a website!); use the Mullen resources to help with the research, using the key word function; downloading a print article is OK.
- Write the annotated bibliography
- Page 1, Double-spaced: Describe the topic, the questions about the topic you want to explore, how it relates to the course, and why it is of interest to you. (10% of the grade)
- Pages 2 and 3, single-spaced: List your 8 sources (four to a page) and for each title, explain how it was helpful in answering your questions about the topic; what are the main things you learned from the source? (80% of the grade – each source counts 10%)
- Page 4, double-spaced: conclusion: what did you learn from the process of creating the bibliography? (10% of the grade)
