Trip report- MEMO STYLE
Purpose of trip report;
-provides a record of business trip or a visit to the field
-shows a detail record of information and contacts collected during a trip for later use
-useful for the person who made the trip as well as decision makers who need information gain on this trip
Organization of a trip report:
-generally written in open summary style
-most often written in memo format
-Make sure to use second level and third level headings
‘’Introduction section’’ First heading
-describe the purpose of the trip
-Mention special circumstances connected to the trips purpose if any
-Give location and dates of trip
-State overall results of trip or any arrangements you made
-Name the important topics covered in the report
‘’Information section’’Second heading
-State names and titles of people consulted and give contact information
-Indicate places and dates of specific meetings or site visits
-describe in detail any agreements made and with whom
-explain what you observed and your opinion of it ‘
-give specific details about equipment and materials or systems relevant to company interest

‘’ conclusion/recommendations’’ section
-Mention the most significant information resulting from the trip
-State where the trip was successful or worthwhile
-make recommendations based on the information gathered during the trip
-Mention any plans from another trip or any meetings
Possible headings:
-‘’summary ‘’ It’s often use for the introduction
-‘’Conclusion and/recommendations’’
-The body is often divided by day or may be divided into sections describing specific context product workshop or equipment
