TEAM is an annual fundraising event with all proceeds from the event going to MSVU Tourism Dept. use for Tourism Students to enrich their education. Funds are used for Sustainable Tourism Tour, attending conferences etc.
The purpose of the project is to analyze, critique and provide ideas and recommendations to make this event bigger and better for the next planned TEAM event. 2019’s event was live with 2020’s event being postponed from March 2020 to Nov 2020 and because of Covid 19 had to be delivered virtually.
Students will be provided with a synopsis of both events (2019 and 2020), together with the running order as well as a recording of the 2020 Virtual event.
Considerations for this project:
· Who will be on Exec Committee/ Roles and Responsibilities / Sub Committees
· Soliciting sponsors, table purchasers, live & silent auction items, balloon blitz
· Population for Inspire-World product
· Attendees
· Duration of Event
· # of Volunteers needed
· Logistical considerations in planning stages
· Logistical considerations during Event
· Detailed evaluation of both events (Live & Virtual)
· Provide comprehensive recommendations for future event to optimize revenue generation
Length and Format
The paper should be no more than 1500 words.
Students will work in pairs with one written submission per team.
