there are many businesses that do not have websites because quite frankly it is unnecessary. Take my current job for instance I work at a cigar shop that sells tobacco, does check cashing, and western union. In this field I feel a website is confusing because it is kind of self explanatory on what we sell. I agree with having a website if you want to spread a message to new and future customers or followers in your case. My idea of a first impression is being greeted with a smile and having passion, the reason I feel this important because they are sincere and honest.
There was a discussion in my last class where we talked about employees over customers, and I truly believe that this is a better drive point. Now the reason why I state this is because when you take care of your employees they will work harder and more efficient for you. A happy employee is a good employee as I always have seen, most of the jobs out there that cater to the customers first and crap on their employees have high turnovers and unsatisfied employees. Personally I have always been able to tell when someone has a fake smile and a genuine smile, it is remarkable that there are so many companies still follow the customers comes first model when I feel that employees should come first.
Anyway that’s my two cents please let me know your thoughts.
