Last week, you read Gloria, and this week I want you to write about it.
The first paragraph should be a very brief synopsis of the play that is no more than a few sentences. The next paragraphs should include answers to the following questions, and finally, end your paper with a clear and concise conclusion.
1. What did you respond to in the play – positive or negative? Please explain in detail. This could be a character, a scene or overall situation.
2. What if anything needs to be clarified for you? What didn’t you understand? Explain.
3. What do you think the main idea is that the playwright wants to convey? Explain.
4. Do you feel that the depiction of Asian Americans in the play is stereotypical? Do you think it Is harmful or in anyway racist? Explain.
