The Two-Machine Project Exercise
This week you will work through three software exercises that acquaint you with MS Project scheduling concepts. This is for a simple project in which two machines need to be overhauled, tested individually, and then tested in line.
The exercises are located in the Files section of the course under Two Machine Project Exercise Weeks 3,4,6. There are accompanying video links that show you how to work through the steps. You will need MS Project 2010, 2013 or 2016 to complete the labs as the steps are the same regardless of the version. You can get the software from the Student Software Store under Course Resources. When finished, use the Week Three Assignment template (Links to an external site.) to present the project in an APA formatted manner with appropriate APA formatted figures etcetera.
Your final MS Word file should provide explanation and APA formatted figures that provide:
a) An overview of what the project is about.
b) A screenshot of the project at the summary task level, showing milestones as well.
c) A screenshot of the full project schedule
d) A screenshot of the critical path only
You should introduce each figure before you display it in your paper with a sentence or two of analysis about what the reader should gather from the figure.
Submit your YourNameWeek3AssignmentTemplate.docx and your completed MS Project file, calling it YourNameWeek3MSProject after you have worked through all three exercises (1-3), to this Week 3 assignment area
