The pros and cons of various materials for this application should be considered.  The paper should focus on materials rather than design. Papers will be graded with consideration of the technical content (60%) and the presentation (40%). The paper should be up to 12 pages long (including the cover page, if any), double spaced, with font Arial No. 10. It should include the following parts: abstract (a self-contained summary), introduction, conclusions and references (a numbered list with every reference cited in the text).  One or more parts other than the above parts should be included, as needed to convey the information.  References should be cited to support your statements.  They should be consecutively numbered and cited consecutively in the text by enclosing each number in square brackets, such as [1].  The abstract should be self-contained, summarizing the content of the paper; the abstract should not be an introduction to the subject.  Illustrations and tables are not required, but they tend to strengthen a paper.  The entire paper must be in your own words.  Even if you cite the source, copying of any sentence from the source is not allowed.  However, tables and illustrations may be copied, provided that the source is indicated at the table title or figure caption.
