The objective of this Lab is to install Windows 10 on your 2nd VM, join it to the Domain created in Lab 4, and install the remote server administration tools (RSAT) on the client.
Your Windows 10 system must be named PC01 and be fully patched. You can download the OS from Azure Development Tools for Teaching.
Your deliverable:
- Your writeup must include steps for joining your domain, including screenshots, and the details of any difficulties you encounter.
- Step-by-step instructions are not included here. Your task is to accomplish the objective, overcoming any difficulties.
- Your writeup must include:
- A screenshot of the
winvercommand. - A screenshot of the
ipconfig /allcommand.- If the screen scrolls, get multiple screenshots to show all the adapters present.
- A screenshot showing the accounts in the Administrators group of the Windows 10 client system.
- A screenshot of ADUC showing your computer joined in the domain.
- ADUC can be run either on the DC or on the Client.
- A summary your overall setup so far, including:
- Virtualization software used
- Networking configuration for DC and Client
- Versions of Windows Server and Windows 10
- A screenshot of the
- Optional: Your writeup can include steps for installing Windows 10.
Install the RSAT Tools on the Client system; this is especially useful if you are using Server Core for the DC.
