the new topic is “how global warning has affected food supply farming in India” (focusing on 2 external pressures on something food related. )

the purpose of the assignment is to highlight globalization. Pick a country that is not associated with your cultures. This is an easy semester to discuss external pressures since we have COVID putting pressure globally. You will choose 2 internal pressures on something food related and 2 external pressures on something food related. You cannot choose the US but I’ll give you an example from California. The wine industry. COVID and fires in Napa have impacted the wine industry terribly both internally and externally. Internally: COVID has shut down wineries impacting the local economy. Fires have burned down wineries also affecting the local economy. Externally: COVID has impacted wine exports so countries that depend on our wine either can’t get it or pay a much higher price which impacts their industries that depend on our exports so that external pressure impacts local wineries. International travel: tourists from outside of the US are not visiting the wine country/napa spending money in restaurants, stores, hotels spending money so that external issue impacts the local economy of California (lost jobs, etc.)
