Part II

Project – Test Plan

Part 1 – Test Plan

In Week 4, you planned how the remote monitoring probes will be used to capture information and monitor Roadster Corp.’s network traffic. This week, you will identify various activities that should be performed to ensure that the proposed solution will fulfill Roadster Corp.’s requirements.

Develop a test plan for Roadster Corp.’s network deployment project. The test plan will include activities to test the following elements:

• Hardware elements
• Software systems
• Protocols

Specify manual or automated testing for the activities to be performed. While working on your test plan, consider testing in different dimensions, including:

• Feature testing
• Corner case testing
• Interface testing
• Random testing
• Directed testing

Make sure your test plan is not limited to only these dimensions. In addition, your test plan should identify the error reporting mechanisms and the personnel responsible for each activity.

Part 2 –Final Presentation

You will have now developed a comprehensive plan to design, manage, optimize, and maintain the enterprise-wide network of Roadster Corp. In this last part, you will present your work in the form of a PowerPoint presentation. The presentation should cover:

• Summary of Roadster Corp.’s requirements
• Business strategy
• Technological solution proposal
• Resources and budgetary considerations
• Security and performance considerations
• Evolution considerations

The presentation should also support your decisions with appropriate rationales and explain how the solution addresses Roadster Corp.’s requirements.

Part 3 – Cloud Migration

Develop a cloud migration recommendation document to your executives at Roadster Corp. Your recommendation plan should include explanations for cloud migration rationale, possible benefits, risks, services and types.
