Learning Objectives:
- Examine business leaders
- Identify what makes business leaders effective
- Distinguish leadership styles
- Apply leadership theories to real leaders
- Relate leadership with other key areas of management
- Link the text with real world working managers
Instructions:
- Find a business leader, past or present, who you greatly admire
- Post this information about the leader: Business(s) he/she has led, summarize his/her leadership style, his/her personality, his/her leadership philosophy, and how these characteristics influenced the feel (organizational culture) and motivation strategies used in the company.
- Also post a video of your leader so others can see him/her.
- Make clear connections back to the text including the leadership styles AND theories.
- Also discuss what you found interesting and/or were surprised by.
