Read assigned chapters of The Art of the Start and make notes for yourself to assist with the term project. |

Submit a written progress report on your experience reading the book. Explain what you are finding most compelling about the book and begin your reflection discussion. Covering chapters 1-7 ONLY. Do not attempt to discuss the entire book in the time permitted – only the chapters assigned through the midterm of the class (chapters 1-7). This paper should be 400 to 500 words. no more than that. BE SPECIFIC in the information you share and demonstrate that you have read the book as well as incorporated and analyzed the information and insights shared by the author. Stating that you “liked” or “disliked” the book is not sufficient. Your submission must demonstrate critical thinking as well as completion of the reading. |

Complete the reading assignments in The Art of the Start and draft and finalize your term paper. Prepare your source list for your references. |

Submit your completed Reflection Report in the appropriate drop box and in the appropriate format. This report CANNOT be a written version of the midterm progress report from week #5. It should cover the entire book BUT EMPHASIS AND FOCUS MUST BE on the second half (i.e.- Chapters 8-11) LATE REPORTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. Be sure to adhere to the due dates in the course calendar, syllabus and/or communications from your professor. |
Conduct additional research outside of the book and textbook to find resources and references that support analysis and positions stated in the report. Keep track of source, which must be submitted in a proper citation format in the written report. A minimum of three outside citations are required for the term paper. The book and textbook may be referenced but will not count towards the required additional resources.
