The purpose of this graded discussion is to introduce yourself to your classmates and share your ideas and experiences with infants. Prepare two written paragraphs.
This will be your first graded discussion of the course. Answer these questions to the best of your ability with a minimum of three written paragraphs:
Your First and Last Name
If you have a nickname, what is it?
Your major [it’s okay if you don’t have one, just let us know, no judgement]
Any Children? If so, how many and the ages
Currently working or not and if so, where [just like to know how many people work in the field, no judgement]
Describe your learning style? How do you learn best?
Any other pertinent information about yourself [optional] perhaps somewhat related to why you are taking the course.
After introducing yourself, please discuss the following questions in a separate response:
What is your experiences with infants?
What do you know about infants?
What surprises you about them?
What questions do you have about infants?
Throughout the semester, for each graded discussion, will requires students to post their initial post. Read the directions for each
discussion board to ensure you are preparing an appropriate response for that particular assignment. Initial written response is [10 points] and your comments to your peers should include at least a paragraph.[5 points].
You are encouraged to post your initial response no later than Thursday, August 19, 2021 by 11:55 PM. Then read your peer responses and comment on at least one of your peers. This graded discussion is due Sunday, August 22, 2021 by 11:55 pm. When students do not have a submission for their discussion board assignment by the due date then no credit is given for these assignments. It is like when you arrive to the class late after the discussion is over.
