Use ProQuest or the databases provided by the NJ State Library to access databases of professional literature such as CINAHL. Search for, download, and read scholarly articles on vaccine hesitancy. You can access ProQuest and additional databases from the Research menu in Moodle.
- In your initial post, cite the article on vaccine hesitancy that you selected from the database at the top of your post. Briefly summarize the key points of the article.
- Select a vaccine that patients are very hesitant to receive or that parents are very hesitant to have administered to their children (e.g., MMR, flu vaccine, HPV vaccine, COVID-19 vaccine).
- Drawing on the concepts in the article you read, discuss how you would approach a hesitant patient or hesitant parent(s) or guardian(s) to discuss their hesitancy and the benefits of the immunization.
- Do you think the selected approaches to address vaccine hesitancy would be effective?
- Describe any other interventions you would try and explain why.
