Your paper should have 1” margins, page numbers, a title, and any subheadings needed to make clear to the reader the structure of the work. I expect subheadings and they will help you organize your paper (from outline to final draft). A complete bibliography should appear at the end of the manuscript and it should be systematic (any standard citation format is fine), with sources cited correctly, either in the text or in footnotes or endnotes.
RESEARCH PAPERS
The paper will be a minimum of 15 pages in length (not counting bibliography). Aside from course readings, you can apply to your topic (and I expect you to!) and any references to popular press or internet website material, you must read and reference in your term paper no fewer than 10 articles from peer-reviewed professional academic journals.
In your paper you should include these minimal requirements:
1) introduction – what is the topic and the research question?
2) thesis – what is the main point of your paper?
3) 2-3 important points of evidence that support your thesis.
4) a simple conclusion: summary, implications, lessons learned, etc.
