Review research on Professional Learning Communities and discuss at least 5 basic tenets of how a Professional Learning Community works well. (3 pages required)
For this paper, use the resources provided on professional learning communities as well as other resources you find in the literature (Leaders of Learning by Richard DUFOUR and Robert Marzano). In the introduction of this paper, provide a brief overview of the resources you reviewed. Identify each of the five tenets. Define each. Then use each tenet as a sub heading in the paper. Discuss each of these tenets. Demonstrate your understanding of issues relevant to plcs. Assess the impact plcs may have on student performance. Ground each tenet in the literature. Explicate how each tenet applies or could apply to your school or district. Provide a brief conclusion. Include a list of references.
This is a brief paper, a minimum of three pages. Use three to five resources as references. Be sure to use APA format. Quotations may be included. Don’t use long quotations. I am enrolled in an educational leadership program seeking principal license. I would prefer if responses were tailored to elementary level as that is what I currently teach.
