PEER POST # 1
Hi class, I hope everyone is doing great this week. As I read the case studies, I concluded that they are mostly accurate in their studies. If the information is truthful and accurate and not trying to convince in one way vs another then I will take it as correct. I do believe they should have a group of people double check everything to ensure accuracy. The benefits of utilizing case studies in decision making can be very effective for the betterment of the company. Having accurate and the most information available about an important decision can be crucial for success moving forward. Another benefit is it can create examples and scenarios about a product being built and implemented so others can learn from what was done right and what was done wrong. The results of the system implementation were very positive and the right way to do business. It was not perfect, but it was a great step forward and success was bestowed upon them for what they did. By Fuze, being able to reduce wasted products and increase their profits just by switching to a supply and demand production system using the ERP informed automated production line is a homerun. Doing that will make their business more efficient and help them keep striving for success.
PEER POST # 2
Hello all, Forgive My late admission, I got caught in transit from NY to Alaska! Finally back with access today. I believe that the data in the case studies is accurate. The problem is that it reflects a specific set of circumstances and may not necessarily be plug and play for another company or business. The results come from combining ERP applications that work with each other within the system and culture of X Company. While the results COULD be similar or replicated, there will be variations based on the factors you are using in your company.
While the ERP implementation led to reduced inventory (affecting cost and increasing profit), faster, real-time awareness in the warehouse and reduced maintenance costs. This can be possible, but again, you have to have the other pieces of the ERP to fully support the intended outcome.
