Vladimir Lenin, the leader of the Bolshevik Revolution, is credited with the first use of the phrase, “people are voting with their feet,” to illustrate that when people are disatisfied with their current political/economic/social situation, they will move to another situation perceived to be more beneficial.
The phrase has been shortened to, “People vote with their feet”. It is the concept behind factor movement, but its meaning has been expanded to embrace the concept of movement for something better. After you have read Chapter 5, consider the following assignment.
