I’m working on a developmental economics discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
The US and indeed the entire global financial system are slowly entering, or so it seems, a period of strife and economic conflict after nearly a decade of record or near record growth. In the US and many other countries, a new set of financial regulations is in place, taxes are lower, business has been booming. Then a trade war, and Brexit have fueled fears of a global slowdown plus a very strong dollar have taken over in the past 12 months. From your perspective, will this new situation impact the stability of the financial system and have a long-term impact on the future of the economy? In your response and where appropriate, include specific references to course materials and/or any outside materials especially current media.
