    The need to restate corporate financial statements is relatively rare, but they do exist and for a myriad of reasons. In this learning activity you describe factors that contributed to the need to prepare a financial restatement.Preparation

    • Search the Internet or the Strayer Nexis Uni Database for a company that published a financial restatement in 2019 due to GAAP violation. You will use this research to complete this activity.
    • Note that you will use your selected company in next week’s assignment, as well.
    • Write a 1-page analysis of the factors that forced your chosen company to publish a financial statement restatement.
