Store data in a relational database

Even though it is preferable to store data in a relational database, storing data across separate tables can make data analysis cumbersome. Describe the reasons it is worth the trouble to store data in a relational database. What are some of the disadvantages of storing data in separate tables (Richardson, Teeter, & Terrell, 2021)?
