Stanford University LEC6 Competitive Threats and opportunities Mozilla Faces Paper

Brave.com is a new type of browser whose characteristics are described on the website https://brave.com/. The founder, whose track record includes creating Javascript and the Mozilla corporation, claims that it will very substantially undermine one of today’s world dominating companies: Google. Today though, Chrome’s user base is at least 100 times larger than Brave.com.

Imagine that you are working for the Mozilla Corporation, which owns the Firefox browser. Imagine that you are in charge of assessing Mozilla’s strategic options with regard to Brave.com: what is the real competitive threat or opportunity? What could be the impact for Mozilla and the other main browsers? Should Mozilla take Brave.com into consideration and adjust its strategic plan accordingly? How?

IMPORTANT NOTE: In addition to providing your responses to these questions, it is essential that you demonstrate your knowledge of the course material, vocabulary, and methodologies that you have learned during the course.Attachments
