Socratic and Confucianism Educational Philosophies Discussion Paper

– Thesis: The similarities and differences between Socratic and Confucian educational philosophies will be examined in this paper, along with their perspectives towards the curriculum, teaching technique, and the ultimate educational goals.

– Please do a research paper, comparing and contrasting Confucius and Socrates’s major ideologies as well as their approaching in education philosophy.

1. Minimum 5 to 6 maximum pages of writing. This does not include the cover page, works cited, and/or the optional image pages.
   1. Make sure that you are writing a research paper and not an essay paper. Your paper
      should be filled with information that can be backed up with the sources that you
      researched. It should not be filled with your personal views.
   2. Must use the 4 sources included below to research and use in your
      paper. Use internal citations, please do not
      use footnotes.
   3. No more than 25% of your paper should be directly quoted. Please avoid long quotes(paraphrase instead). If you must include a long quote, you should single space and indent the quote.

   2. Times New Roman
   3. 12 font size
   4. Your heading should go on a cover sheet (not on each page).
   5. You do not need to write an abstract.
