Sociological Imagination Timeline – And analysis

Hello,

This is a high school task.

Instruction:

Sociological Imagination Timeline

This project will relate to the concept of the sociological imagination pioneered by C. Wright Mills. The concept relates to viewing the world through a sociological lens in which we see individuals not as separate from society, but as a part and product of that society and its historical moment.

1. You will construct a timeline.

2. Choose either one parent’s side of the family or more if that suits you.

*If you would like to complete the timeline based on a historical figure or someone you know, that would work as well.

1. You will place your family history on the top side of the timeline.

2. You will place social history on the bottom side of the timeline.

3. You will write a page to accompany your timeline explaining the personal, biographical history, and incorporating the social context/ history along with it.

*If you would like to complete the timeline

This is an example of the beginning of a timeline project.

The example has been attached.

And we need 300 words analysis to explain our timeline.

Checklist:

The personal and social sides of the timeline are clear and understandable. Analysis shows an understanding of the sociological imagination by very clearly linking social circumstances to people’s lives.
