Previously, we discussed the benefits/risks of bringing new business to the community (walmart vs. brewing company). as community health worker, i chose walmart (attached is my previous response).
Now, for this assignment in the Virtual Community Role Play, you again have two tasks:
- Please assume the role of a community resident (in a non-leadership capacity), who has heard informal conversations about the upcoming business ventures and is concerned with recruiting either business. Write a 1–2 paragraph letter to the town mayor expressing the resident’s concerns.
- Based on receipt of this letter, the mayor has contacted you as a (community health worker) to draft a reply to the resident. Based on what you’ve learned this semester about working with both community leaders and community residents, draft a reply (1-page letter) to the resident.
Please have a look at the attached example, you can write a totally different response this is just an example. Things to keep in mind: This is a role-playing activity and, as such, retains fictional elements of your imagination and direction. Even so, you should treat this exercise as an application of the tools at your disposal. If this were a real scenario and you were sought out as an actual expert, how would you respond?
