· Look into how many women versus men joined the military.
· Research if there was a boost in the number of women enlisting as well as men.
Independent variables tested
· The number of incidents of incidents of violence against women.
· Number of complaints dealing with gender bias against women
· Number of promotions.
· Most numerous roles women played in the military.
How to test this: Look up academic studies and military records that deal with gender bias in the military.
Theory one: Social Conflict Theory to explain why inequality exists (power differential)
Theory two: Structural Functional Theory to explain how a male-dominated social system perpetuates itself and why it’s slow to change.
