assignment asks you to do some research on one of the ethnic/racial groups in California listed below that we were not able to cover in our course this semester. Some of these individuals/groups were offered political asylum or refugee status when their countries of origin were experiencing political change, invasion, and/or war (which sometimes were a direct result of US military/foreign policy decisions). Please complete a report (of at least 350 words) on the group you choose, indicating particular dates, the location of their population centers in CA, and general information about the group’s experiences in relocating and building new lives in California.

This Assignment is worth 25 points but you must follow Assignment Instructions and use footnotes and list all sources. Since this is an optional extra credit assignment the points are not posted so as to not interfere with the grade averaging. But an extra credit column will appear on the grade page showing points earned. Please make sure you have completed your regular assignments and exams because skipping even one can affect your grade point average. If you are in a grade borderline situation (percentage-wise), I recommend completing this assignment. However, make sure your response is legitimate. I will not be awarding points to those who do not take this assignment seriously.

Specific Instructions

1. The text portion of this assignment needs to be at least 350 words long and include a picture/image.
2. You must consult at least two sources and footnotes must be used to show source of specific information. Sources also need to be listed at the end of the submission. Please read Rules on Grammar and Footnotes located in the 1st Module.
3. Make sure you are following the assignment description and including a strong introduction and conclusion. Consult Rubric at bottom of page.
4. Submission MUST be double-spaced.
5. Assignments that have too many typos and grammatical errors will lose points. Make sure your assignment is in Word or PDF format.
