First, read Andrew P. Mills’ essay, “What’s So Good About a College Education?”. It can be found above, in the Readings and Resources section.
Mills uses research to support the claims he is making throughout this essay. He summarizes the so-called “can-opener answer” as an approach to earning a college education, and then points out two issues that weaken the “can-opener answer” position.
Choose one of the two problems with the “can-opener answer” that Mills discusses in this essay.
- Briefly discuss your own position on the problem.
- Provide one reliable source to support your position, and integrate it into your answer.
- Remember to use APA formatted in-text citations and references.
