Interprofessional Experience Project Overview
The student will identify a need in their local community and complete no less than 8 hours of public, community, or civic service within a setting that supports the ability to contribute public health insights within a setting outside of their current field of study. Examples include clinics, hospitals, community centers, non-profit agencies, businesses, or government agencies/buildings not associated directly with public health.
*Note this is not meant to be a shadowing or internship experience. Your hours must contribute an active public health contribution, insight, deliverable, through service with your collaborative team members.
Service hours will be documented by completing the Service Learning Experience Project Log documenting the project description, team members, dates, hours, activities, and the signature of a supervisor from the agency where the service was completed.
Submit the Service Learning Experience Project Log by 11:59pm on Sunday, of Module 6.
This is an experiential learning assignment, where you are required to develop and implement an interprofessional experience service project. The student will engage in a service project that includes interprofessional collaboration and a minimum of 8 hours of service within the community, a reflection assignment, and a video presentation.
