INFORMATIVE: Show what you have learned so far! This is a 5 – 7-minute speech with a power point presentation with 750-910 words total in the ppt speaker notes. Chapter 15 explains the different types of informative speeches quite well. You will teach us by explaining how something works, or how it is structured, or how it came to be; for example, you could describe how a computer works, or what causes tides, or how stars are formed. You can describe our solar system, or what happens when water boils, or what causes wind. The list is endless. Choose a topic you are genuinely interested in and/or one you know something about already. This is a researched speech. You are required to submit an MLA formatted works cited page the day you are assigned to speak.
