OBJECTIVE: Demonstrate skills to effectively create a functionable database equipped with tables, forms, reports, and queries.

DIRECTIONS: Please complete and submit your Access LAST Lab. Develop a unique, fully functional database and incorporate as much content covered in Trainings and video lecture. Remember you are essentially creating this database from scratch. At a minimum your individual DBs should contain the following:

Prompt: Please base your database on a business that supplies much needed relief during COVID times such as health care, food, shelters, hygienic-disinfectant supplier, etc. It can also be a non-profit type of business too or social service agency. An example may be a local food distributor who supplies food to families in need, etc (i.e. However, this is just an example). Remember now that we are in recovery mode and businesses are getting back on track we are still battling a pandemic.

2 tables with structure modified (primary key, data types, field sizes, etc). Include at least fifteen records in each TABLE.

2 queries (One simple + One more complex with a condition set) Keep in mind the types of queries & samples.

1 form – (with formatting elements (e.g. color, graphics, fonts, etc.).

1 report – (with formatting elements like color, logo, fonts, etc.).

Remember to consult the Thinking About Your Data (attachment) included in this module.

What to submit: (all info outlined above in one database file .accdb). You can name it something like YOURBUSINESSNAME.accdb (i.e. “SallysFoodDistrib.accdb”).
