DIRECTIONS: Not too long ago in 2019, a trendy application known as FaceApp surfaced which depicted how a person would physically look like as an elderly person. This brought a stampede of interested and intrigued consumers to download this application. However, with this onslaught of onlookers also arose security flaws and issues with this trendy app. Now, taking this all into consideration, please investigate what the media and consumer frenzy was all about and why? (Hint: search on “FaceApp Security,” etc). Also, consider the rise of DeepFakes popping up with celebrity impersonations, etc. Are you yourself intrigued by it? Why or why not? Or do you just believe that this is just another ploy to pull in unsuspecting consumers to unleash security attacks upon? Further, take into regard how?, where?, and time this the data collected is stored?
