The focus of this paper is to broaden the student’s understanding of the perennial psychology of consciousness and expose students to the scholarly literature in the field of consciousness as it pertains to the development of identity and emotional functioning.

psychological perspectives on consciousness, effects of a spiritual practice on consciousness & unconsciousness components of the mind (e.g., meditation, movement practice, etc.), effects of a various therapeutic practices on consciousness & unconsciousness components of the mind and summarize the current understanding of this topic based on the scholarly literature.

There should be a minimum of 7 references. The references may be scholarly books or journal articles.
