Porter’s Five Forces is one of the more important theories in strategic thinking of the past 50-years. Understanding this theory is essential to business leaders. I recommend Magretta’s “Understanding Michael Porter” (available at the LA Library on audio).
Get some practice thinking about the Five Forces by applying it to the food delivery industry (Uber Eats, Postmates, Grubhub, etc.). For each force, determine if that force is high or low. Use specific examples per force to support your conclusions.
