I’m working on a computer science discussion question and need an explanation to help me learn.

Answer 1

1. In organizational settings, leaders should use power in order to achieve team, organizational, and individual objectives. Leaders should be able to influence their followers, their peers as well as superiors to make chance to enhance and stakeholders to ensure that the company is lively. Bullying at work is a major issue, underlined by a growing corpus of social scientific research. However, it causes and has gotten little systematic research outside examinations of bullies’ personality characteristics. Bullying superiors may be harmful to keep the organisations confident (Thoha & Setiawan, 2021). Bullying in the workplace is a pattern involving repeated mistreatment by coworkers that results in either mental or physical harm. It might be by nonverbal, psychological, physical, verbal as well as emotional abuse. This workplace aggression is particularly difficult since, unlike the typical school bully, business bullies mostly act inside the established norms, norms, as well as culture of their firm. For most workplace incidents, bullying is reported by someone that has power or control over the victim. It may affect the diverse parts of victims’ lives, which are closely tied to their productivity. The victims are highly burdened by the bullying as well as their mental, physically and emotionally status is severely harmed. When there is bullying in the workplace, people who are bullied may still not perform well since they are bullied, resulting in decreased job productivity.

2. Set of expectations, values and customs that inform and guide the behaviour of the members of the team are part of organizational culture. Any organization’s culture establishes standards for how members collaborate and act, and how successfully they perform as a team. Culture may break down the barriers that govern decision-making, enhance overall workflow, and segregated teams. Organizational culture has a significant relation with a company’s productivity, mostly because of its influence on the mentality of a person and the resultant commitment at work. The greater the culture, the more productive individuals were because they are involved. The organizational culture has an influence on the performance of each worker. Cultures of high-performance lead to high-performance members of the team. Organizational culture makes it vital for innovation to be implemented and maintained in the organization. The key element that affects the frequency and pace of innovation is organizational culture.

The company culture that promotes innovation is the product of the two elements which people have, their leadership style, common values, attitudes, behaviour, working methods, infrastructure as well as communication techniques. Cultural adhocracy increases organizational effectiveness over hierarchies and clan cultures. Corporate culture also has an influence on the capacity for organizational innovation. Various cultural elements might improve the inclination to innovate. In a hyper-competitive business world, the companies that can provide unique goods or fresh ideas and applications can survive and prosper (Binder et al., 2019). Creativity works with innovation and greater creativity leads to more invention. Creating an organizational culture that encourages and supports innovation and creativity is critical for firms seeking a competitive edge.

3. Culture of leadership is the way things are done. This is how individuals decide, influence others and engage with others. Leader’s own unconscious and conscious convictions determine actions, choices and actions that repeatedly become leadership practices. Cultural standards may be assimilated, leading to harmful or excellent effects. For example, persons who see bad behaviour might lead to similar harmful patterns and behaviour. These undesirable practices might then spread to others and gain institutional impetus. Almost every area of leadership is affected by culture (Binder et al., 2019). The ideas, concepts, values and principles integrated into a culture have an influence on leadership objectives, organizational strategies and behaviour. Cultural standards may be assimilated and positive or poor effects may be achieved. Leaders should have a kind of knowledge that can flow with cultural and other shifts in the environment, in addition to transactional as well as intellectual talents. Culture is one of the numerous external differences in which leaders must be passionately involved. This is another area in which personal reflection on one’s cultural influences and background is required. If you have to become a leader, you will rely on the culture you work in. To be successful, leadership style application cannot be imposed but must take into account the variety of cultures. It’s difficult to exaggerate the significance of harmonizing leadership and culture. The actions and traits of senior managers and CEOs may have a profound cultural influence. Culture, on either hand, either enhances or constrains the performance of leaders.

Answer 2

Discuss what power in the context of leadership is and how it relates to bullying within organizations. Also, note how this impacts productivity.

Leadership requires reasonable consideration when discussing strength and power. Essentially, leadership is a good quality anyone should have and nurture. Nevertheless, there are some limitations when referring to the kind of leadership. Several had gone through difficult moments in leading a team, but the issue that keeps it going is a leader with a good mission and smooth and reasonable actions. This depicts the work and behavior of a good leader (Lucas & Baxter, 2012). In relation to bullying, several leaders had started proper measures to prevent this issue, and if cannot be provided immediate stop, at the least lessen the problem itself.

Discuss what organizational culture is and how it impacts work productivity. Also, note how organizational culture impacts the success of innovation implementation.

Each organization has a principle referred to as culture. Every successful association is a well-organized culture and structure that serves as an aid and helps run and enhance. Organizational culture is very important in forming an organization visionary and entirely (Bonavia, 2006). In addition, it serves as means for work productivity and crucial to promoting developing productivity in the company.

How does culture impact leadership? Can culture be seen as a constraint on leadership?

A leader’s culture is a big aid to anyone, specifically to the organization. Suppose there is no culture, a leader may not stand his or her decisions, a leader may not operate as required, and a leader may not achieve the mission and vision of the organization (Bonavia, 2006). All these factors were essential in an organization since the leader plays a vital role in his culture.
