Explore and analyze an education policy issue that impacts Latino students. This topic CAN be the same as the policy memo topic. Any level of education is permissible (K–12, Higher Education, etc.). The Policy analysis paper requires critical reflection of an education policy issue that is currently impacting Latino students in the education pipeline, taking into account the historical, community and financial context of the issue.
Provide an overview of the education policy and define the problem; Provide a historical background of the issue; provide an analysis of how this issue has evolved and its current impact on Latino students using current data and research; provide and discuss tangible recommendations for improving or addressing the issue in a manner that promotes equity as well as the implications for the recommendations; and finally summarize why the issue is critical and how your alternatives/recommendations might solve or improve the stated education policy/issue for Latino students in schools or colleges today.
