I think that Adrea Gibbs’s TedTalk was very interesting and very entertaining. In my opinion, I agree to what she said in the video about what makes a story a story. This makes sense because most of the times we remember certain occasions or events if there is a significant memory mark. In other words, if it is a real highlight of our lives whether it is happiness, tragic, sadness, or a little bit of all. The reason as to why she was able to keep her audience entertained is through jokes and hand gestures. There are times when nonverbal actions speaks more than verbal actions. Lastly, I found this story very compelling because of the moral of the story. It is nice how Gibbs was not so selfish about being rejected or told that the guy she has feelings for has a girlfriend, but instead she thought of the positive effects that it might bring to her crush’s feelings and life in general. In other words, she was not so focused on herself, but thought of the other person as well.
